Just Leave Me Already

I thought I could trust you,
I thought you were my friend,
someone to keep my secrets
until the very end.

But you tell me I need help,
more than you can give,
but that would hurt me
and you’d force me to relive

all the pain I’ve ever felt,
I can’t do it again,
I want to trust people,
but I get hurt, then.

Please don’t tell, you’ll hurt me more,
just trust me on this one,
because you will leave me, I promise,
and I’ll quit, be done.
