Can I right my wrongs?
Lift the veil?
Unclench my grasp on the unhued past?
Forget?

Can I move on?
Let my car race on
Past the 60 limit
Flooring the pedal
Chewing my ip
Blinded with tears
So that tomorrow can
Disappear in the rearview mirror
Unseen

Can I forgive?
That fickle stupid being
Myself
Can I still trust
That teenage driver
Invincible in her blindness
Ignoring her foundation
Headed for a crash
Myself
