Unconsciousness
An unbearable pain surges through me,
And I collapse to the floor.
The room sways like the sea,
Calling out to me:
Let go.
There is an ominous ringing in my ears.
I can not hold on any longer.
The clock stops ticking.
Despite the horrible pain preceding,
I feel joyous.
A thousand images flash through my vision:
My family,
My friends,
Everyone who I loved.
I woke up feeling calm and relaxed,
Like I had been dreaming for ages.
My family is crowded around me.
The pain came back as suddenly as it had left.
