My Scars
My scars are
The rough parts of
Me
The stories you wonder
About
And when I finally get
Enough courage
To tell you
Your tears over power
My words
My scars are the bits
Of my soul
That curled up and
Died
In the dark cave
Life lead me too far into
Long ago
Long before you
Taught me to feel
Agian
To love once more
My scars are my
War medals and my
Scarlet letters
My scars are fading
But not fast enough
My scars are unnumbered
Unnamed yet each one is
Branded into my
Memory
My scars are my fears
My battles won
My failures
They say my scars are
Ugly
My scars are apart of me
The only
Beautiful part left
