Dear Mom and Dad
mother every time i look into your eyes
i see you as i did ten years ago
as i always will
with your arms held open,
and a beautiful smile
its there all the while,
and dad, when i look at you
i see your calloused hands
leaning on a shovel,
with a warm crooked smile
you two are a still frame in my mind
so one of a kind
all I see is what youve done for me
the loving, the caring
the hard work, and suffering
we all have mistakes
no one is perfect
but i see none of that in you two
i love you
i always will
