Thus is life, live it, or die trying!

Nothing is ever simple,
Best Friends,
Move apart,
They smile and say,
That they’ll always be together,
And time passes,
And one day they look up,
And there are these,
Craters,
And canyons,
Between them,
These gaps are made of,
School,
Boyfriends,
Parents,
Other people,
And,
And even though you can still toss a rope,
Out to them,
You can't seem to find them,
Not out there around you,
And not in yourself,
So even though,
You talk on the phone,
And even though,
You see each other in the hall,
Sleep over at each other’s house,
There's this ever-,
Widening gap,
That you can't seem,
To do anything about,
Sometimes you just gotta,
Cry.

"Some look at things that are, and ask why. I dream of things that never were and ask why not?" -George Bernard Shaw

This is a really great poem I loved it! Ver very true about friendships. I totally see where you are coming from. This shows that writing doesn't have to be about deep things and butterfly souls to be magical, this poem was magical just being simple and great! Great work!
