Dreams in Their Worst Way

Dreams are like my worst insecurities.
They make my life dejected.
Every night they lurk into my head.
It’s like a madcap on my body.
My brain darkens, my mind seeps into my consciousness.
I hear voices of strangers aware.
They walk with an open door but yet it won’t shut.
They cry and pry at my thoughts and broken dreams.
I try and escape when I wake up
But it never happened.
