The scent of singed skin fills the air.
My heart,
Charred.
Never sought out such an addiction,
But here one lies in my,
Arms,
Mind,
Soul.
Floating like a balloon,
No direction,
No cause,
No intent,
Just beauty.
Simplicity was never evident,
But baby I love the,
Chaos,
Strain,
Burn,
Accompanied by your beauty.
As your eyes like the sun,
Tear through my flesh, my heart,
Seeps,
Bleeds,
To your name.
No way to escape,
My feeble arms try to grasp what is left,
Strength I don’t obtain,
I fall,
Shackled,
To the floor,
By your,
Eyes,
Smile,
Love.

After reading you poem, I have a new understanding of the meaning of "falling" in love. So much pain in this poem, but really strong imagery. The reader can really feel what you feel! Hope the poem gets published!
