First snow
Covering the countryside
A whisper from Heaven
My breath fogs the glass
Wiping it away with my sleeve
I watch the gentle snowflakes
Tiny flowers of ice
Gathering on the evergreens
And piling on the ground
Drifts of white
Reflecting the sun
I stroll outside
Whirling around
Flakes falling on me
Melting in my palm
Resting in my hair
Disappearing on my tongue
The chill warms my heart
To the magic all around
While I dance
In the snow
