Earth's Plea
To my people do I go,
Providing them a place to grow.
A place to live, to love, to learn.
To all persons, each in turn.
I give them food, and drink, and warmth,
And give them places to go forth.
I give to them so much good,
And if I could, I know I would,
Ask of them to be kind,
And leave all wars so far behind.
Don’t tear down all my trees.
Stop dumping filth in my seas.
Be good and fair to everyone:
Mothers, daughters, fathers, sons.
If they don’t, they will see,
There’ll be nothing left of me.
To help me out, to lend a hand,
For I, the Earth, know they can.
