My own pond.
I float on my own, private pond.
Im not one of those summer day girls.
I cant stand the heat.
Nor the sand on my feet.
And dear god, do I like to tan.
I dont care about bikinis.
Or the cutest cover up.
They are just there for show.
You try so hard just to complain.
But, I do like to float.
I love to be submerged.
In the comforting blue mother.
Always willing to hug you tight in her cold, wet embrace.
And looking up to the skies and seeing my bats, Larry and Barry.
And know that summer has came.
I hope this will all stay the same.
