The Burden I Carry
My life has been a constant battle
From love to survival
Tears I have shed alone
Fears I have gained at home
Fighting back has never worked
In the end I’m the only one who gets hurt
I’ve made my share of mistakes
And one by one they’ve been faced
Happiness I have rarely come to know
To hold on to it seems impossible
Few times I’ve felt as if I were on top of the world
But then suddenly I lost balance and fell
The smile on my face
Is but almost always fake
What I see through my eyes
Are constant lies
The burden that I carry
Is my will to live
I don’t write to receive any sympathy
This is the only manner I have of expressing my feelings
I could care less what people think of me
If it were up to them, I’d already be in my black ceremony
Only one opinion matters, and it belongs to a Z
