Ladder of Stars
Big glowing light,
Destroyer of shadows,
Do you ever get lonely up there?
Every night you hide from me
Yet when I turn
I can see you peeking out above
A cold glow you give me,
Do you mean to ignore me?
Sometimes I wish I could build
A ladder of stars
And then I would climb up...up...up…
Only then, god of night,
Would you no longer be alone
Up there
In the darkness of fright.
