Lovers in the night
Lovers in the night
Two star- crossed lovers
rub their hands to get some warmth on a cool fall evening.
The old abandoned house
casts dark shadows in the night.
The creek by the big lake comes to a slow stop
while the bugs and the insects begin chirping and dancing.
The couple stands by the lake just close enough to fall in.
The air is still and calm while the lovers hold hands and gaze into the night sky.
A bright glow of light
shines down on the lake, making the water look like a dream.
The stars glisten in the sky like diamonds in the night.
As the couple lie under the stars, the moon shines down on them
and the cool, calm water shows nothing
but their love and the moon.
