My body moves
intricate bundles of flesh.
I watch its progression
no need to stop it, it's
problems only hinder me for moments
I drift further away.
I wonder if I were to grab
at it if it would still hold me,
comfort me.
We used to be a tandem
now all that I see are my chains.
We practice death everyday
as time creeps by eating at our shells.
Please free yourself
see as I do.
I'm alone out here searching.
