Favorite Quote:
I lost the game.

Sparkle, flicker, dance,
Across the sable sky,
Yet they had no chance,
They all had to die.

Clouds creeping in,
Leaving many scars,
Mournfully I sing,
“It’s Night without the Stars.”

Ere the veil of death came,
Light was in the sky,
Put the clouds to shame,
The Stars had to die.

Chirp, coo, peep,
Among the forest clearing,
Stole me of sleep,
Oh, Night Swallows I love hearing.

Frost rolling through,
Everything went wrong,
With suffer, there I rue,
“It’s Night without a Song.”

The while, I remember,
Mist from Northern sky,
That fateful September,
The Swallows had to die.

Swish, swash, swish,
Deer flitting past,
Oh, how I wish,
Her life could last,

Hunter, there he aim,
That night with gun and spear,
I grieve, he caught his game,
“It’s Night without the Deer.”

Alas, it wouldn’t end,
The Night would be none,
Deer dead, my friend,
I wish it would be done.

Will the death ever stop?
Would it ever cease?
Would the Bunny not hop?
Would there not be peace?

The fox’s mighty tail,
Be hanging in a shop,
There, up for sale,
Will the death ever stop?

The blizzard and the snow,
They’re my friends, indeed,
But would their fingers bestow,
Upon the brawny steed?

No Song, Deer, or Light,
Amongst the evil that are,
I wish they still shone bright,
“It’s Night without the Stars.”

I was bored and I wrote the first stanza, and then continued. I'm very proud of this piece.
