I know you've moved away from me,
though your footprints stain my body.
I know that you've done nothing wrong,
and now you've found somebody.

But there was once a day so short,
where you were mine and I was yours.
The happiest days of our lives,
are always the ones we don't recall.

Depressing hours of weakness,
are hours that haunt us for so long.
I try so hard to blend in with you,
and end up running around screaming.

Why do I want you when you don't need me?
The girl I love doesn't know my name,
give her the world she'll react the same.
Why do I need you when you don't want me?

The author's comments:
Another poem about being rejected by a girl I really cared about.
