Under the Snow
Frozen black sand.
Feel the numbness creep up your fingers.
Hear the silence all around.
Taste the sun set beyond your reach.
Nine thousand foot prints
scattered amongst the dunes.
And in each one a shallow grave,
within each rests a dream
forgotten seeds left desolate.
Each grow, broken and lifeless
to become pillars of salt,
to forever burn at the worlds scar
until the heart dies, and memories become dust
lost
under the snow
