Bed
Walking through the front door
My head down, face to the floor
I finally look up to many faces never seen
As I walk along my new campus scene
Many thoughts invade my head
I'm starting to wish I stayed in bed
I stay alert, fearing what someone might say
I try quietly to get through my day
I meet many new people who become my friends
Together we all make amends
We talk to familiar faces in our friendly way
We enjoy each other's presence everyday
We walk along the campus, our heads held high
We constantly laugh for reasons we don't know why
I depart from them, as I approach my classroom ahead
I am really glad I decided to get out of my bed
