Silent Change

My head is empty.
Hollow and echoing.
The silence is anew.
An assassin, it portrays.
It creeps up, without a word.
Deathly air follows. A toxin.
Numbing the thoughts and feels.
Swiming alone in a vast sea.
I'm afraid of this unknown. And its depths.
Where are my thoughts lying?
Are they resting, or escaping?
I won’t drift without their comfort.
The harsh waves are what I know.
What has changed?
I’m not sure if I like this change.
It’s different, Is this truly me or not?
