I Wish

I wish everyday was a good day,
I wish there was nothing bad in this world,
I wish everyone could just get along,
I wish you didn’t ever have to lose anyone special to you,
I wish everything was affordable,
I wish things weren’t biased,
I wish it was easy to live a happy life,
I wish it was easy to be able to get into college,
I wish we never had any mental struggles,
I wish school wasn’t so exhausting,
I wish I was a kid again,
I wish we all knew right from wrong,
I wish that we wouldn’t put others down,
I wish simply for better and for easier in life.

I loved writing this poem because it allowed me to think back to my childhood. When I was writing this I thought about how much better life was when I was a kid and I even compared it to life now. I saw how much the world has changed since my childhood and it is pretty upsetting to me to see the changes that have happened. Our teacher had instructed my class to write an I wish poem but she said it could be serious or funny and I decided to take it the more serious route. I want people to see my poem because I think so many people can truly relate to this poem.
