I love running on the big field  carpeted with grass 

With White outlines and webbed nets on both ends

The parents cheering from one of the sidelines

And my coach yelling from the other

I love slipping past the defenders

As sly as a sneaky fox

My feet hitting the ground with a THUMP THUMP THUMP

And my legs moving as fast as those of a speedy cheetah

Telling myself, You’ve done this a million times, you got this

Seeing the net up ahead

Feeling the hot sun hit my face

Getting sweaty and tired but not stopping

I love working with my teammates

I love getting an adrenaline rush

Cheering on my team

And getting that feeling when we win

I love getting better and better each season

Going to tryouts with butterflies in my stomach

Hoping I will move up to the next team

I love soccer
