I am an object… seen through the lens of a camera…

Through that lens, I am someone playing lacrosse…

Across the field, I zoom in, but the camera can't find my depth …

I know there is something more

This camera only has pictures of me with a stick in my hand

But it doesn't know what sticks in my heart

Relationships with my friends
Quality time with my family
The bond that I share with my teammates
The memory of a grandmother… who taught me to welcome everyone from the start

The feeling that I get when I step on the field is so special

many different emotions rush through my mind depending on the importance of the game…

nerves flowing through my body … yet feeling so excited within my heart

the determination to succeed runs through my mind

Beyond the field and the game

There is more to claim

But at times… I doubt myself…

All that I can see within the frame… Is someone who is good at the game

Through that tiny lens, there is more to me

At least I know who I want to be.

I want to be remembered the way I remember my grandmother

Welcoming anyone and everyone…

I want to leave a mark… that is positive in every way

I want to be seen and not forgotten…

My heart contains what the camera doesn't know

The little things in my mind,

The thoughts that grow…

Who will I be?
What will I do?
How will I succeed?
What will my future hold?
Who am I off the field?
How much more do I have to uncover?
Without sports, I may be lost… like a compass without direction

I haven't quite found my path yet

To lead me to where I'm heading…

I know I haven't entirely found my perfect shot

So I will let the camera eye inspire me

Through that tiny lens …

To find a clear picture of the true me
