Freshman year the beginning of a new chapter

First day of school canceled

due to power outage

My first year online because of covid

All my classes online

I joined the swim team but season was cut

Due to someone on the team getting covid

After all year of being online

I'm done with my first year and

My Brother graduates.

Sophomore year first year back

In person, we wear masks all year.

Nervous to make new friends

My grades start to slip and not

Focused on school or care

I shut out everyone and

Become invisible the hardest year

Final comes to an end.

Junior year know to be the hardest year

Filled with a bunch of busy work

Assignment after assignment

My stress and anxiety is increasing

Day by day, slowly getting burnt out

Wanting to be done and be a senior

Being told senior year was easier

Then junior year

Last day of school finally

Stress free and relaxed

Senior year, the last of everything

First semester harder than junior year

Between college applications, work

Swim and balancing school

My mental health starts to decline

Im burnt out and my senioritis

is starting to hit

By december I have committed to a college

With no motivation and in the final

Stretch of this chapter in my life

Just 45 days left to go till

I can close this chapter in my life
