Half grow

Half are weak

The sun only shines on one half

The sun gives all its power to one half

The other half suffers

The other half dies

The other half gets left behind

Where’s my sun?

Where’s my shine?

Where’s my power?

If I keep suffering

Will

Die.

The author's comments:

I was inspired to write this poem because I love flowers and there are so many different types of flowers and I thought that they can correspond well with humans. When flowers grow, there are always some that don’t get enough sunlight or water and die. Many people are not getting the attention or rights that they deserve and are treated unequally. I wanted to bring more light into this situation and show that if this happens to people too much it can really affect them.
