solo-system
this little planet feels lost, but it will
build a cosmos from these voids and plains of celestial dust.
maybe my gravitational pull will bring them
one millimeter closer, maybe i’ll defy gravity
someday, maybe i’ll concoct my own version of it.
maybe,
this tangle of forces, as planets collide
and my mind tugs in every direction,
will push and pull me to where i need to be.
i’m orbiting but orbited,
a solo-system in
this boundless cosmos.
