an ode to my grandparent's anniversary
In a garden of time,
Beseeched of which memories bloom,
Two souls embarked on a journey,
not a moment too soon.
Hand in hand,
they have treasured the priceless years,
Through their finesse in laughter and joy,
And none other through tears.
With each passing season,
their love did grow,
Like a river that shall endlessly flow.
Through trials and triumphs,
They stood side by side.
In the dance of life,
with grace they glide.
Through wrinkles etched
by time's gentle of Thou's hand,
Their love story's told,
like a million grains of sand.
In every smile,
in every gaze,
Even through their disagreements;
Their bond persists through life's troublesome maze.
With wisdom earned from years gone by,
They cherish moments beneath the fondling sunlight and azure Indian skies.
For in each other's arms,
they find their rest,
In a love that is endured every test.
So here is to the times I have shared as a granddaughter with them ,
here is to the lost years,
Here is to the prayers that our nightmare will end,
to move on in life and beyond,
to our frustration embowed in tears.
On this anniversary,
let us raise a heartfelt toast,
To the love of Mummy and Daddy,
Those who we will never lose as they are cherished the most.
