All I Wished For
I don’t expect you to talk to me
When I can't tell you how I’m feeling
My eyes blurred, a lump in my throat
God, I wish you would
I don’t expect you to pry at the situation
When I won't tell you what’s wrong
Scared of what you might say
I wish you were the person to get it out of me
I don’t expect you to hold me
When I’m crying on the floor
My life going wrong
I wish you would hold me when I need you
I don’t expect you to tell me how you feel
When I can see the look on your face
You hate the words I said
I wish you would just be honest with me
I don’t expect you to open up to me
When you won't be vulnerable for me
While all the while, my heart has shattered in your hands
I wish you would let me shatter yours
I don't expect us to be friends forever
When we can barely get along
Our friendship going down the drain
I have one last wish for you
I wish you would have given me all I wished for
