,تم اِس لمہے میں زندہ ہو
پر یہ لمحہ تم سے زندہ ہے۔

Guilt.

Grief.

Glib.

Guilt clings to my conscience like a shadow; heavy and unyielding.

It morphs into Grieving the words that once swaddled my fractured heart.

Yet, in the end, all it was: a Glib.

Belong.

Yearn.

Intrinsic.

Why do we Yearn to Belong?

To tether ourselves Intrinsically to structures never intended for us to Belong to?

Learn to Belong to the unfamiliar, the unusual, the unknown.

Yet, your innate nature,

It mustn't be forsaken.

The guilt of yearning for intrinsic belonging eclipses the grief of relying on the glib.

Abandon your innate nature.

Find solace in yearning to belong to the unfamiliar, the unusual, the unknown.

Familiarize yourself, get used to, become known to;

The

Unfamiliar,

Unusual,

Unknown.

It's you, the unfamiliar structure.

It’s you, the unusual structure.

It’s you, the unknown structure.

It will always be You.

The author's comments:

Maya Sultan is an 18-year-old freshman, pursuing a BSc. in Politics and International Relations.

Writing is a passion that runs deep in her veins. Her creations although raw and undefiled, reek of melancholy at their intense epitome, hoping her words seep into the reader's bones.

Her publications include The Paper Crane Journal, The Hearth Magazine, Cathartic Youth Literary Magazine, The Globe Review, Teen Ink, and Juniper Literary Magazine.

Every piece Maya writes is a fragment of her heart that she exposes to the real world. This fragment weighs heavy on Maya's heart.
