a soul in pain

A heart that yearns and aches
A soul that’s torn and bleak.
The pain that comes with heartache,
Leaves a void that cannot be filled.
The memories haunt and cling,
The love that was real and true.
The hope that vanished in a blink,
Leaves the heart feeling blue.
But from this pain we learn and grow,
To find the strength to move on,
The love we lost may come and go,
But it’s the memories we hold onto.
So when the night feels cold and dark,
You’re left wondering why,
Remember that time heals the heart,
And you’ll find your smile again
