Are you truly free even when you are free?

Freedom isnt something you touch, or feel, or be

Freedom isnt everlasting happiness

I don’t think im truly free or will be free

Freedom isnt reachable, or obtainable

Freedom isnt given its earned

I am not free untill I am free

Is freedom what I want

Or is happiness what I crave

Either way can I truly be happy or content

With the shackless of freedom

I traveled miles and still found no peace

People judge and don’t wait to know me

It can't be the way I look or dress

I try to be polite and look well

It can't be because of my voice

I sound proper and well mannered

So why can’t I be free

Why can’t I be looked the same

Truth is you never are free

People only see what they want to see

And that never brings freedom

Freedom will come when I'm accepted

Freedom will rain when I am protected

Freedom is illusion, it will never be
