Why Do I?

In a world where my words may fail,

Poetry becomes my voice, my tale.

When my feelings are hard to express,

Through poetry, I find peace, no less.

A comforting refuge, like food or a game,

Poetry becomes my comfort, my flame.

It's where I find relief, where I am free,

To express myself, to just be me.

To me, poetry is everything,

A language that sets my spirit free.

It's a canvas where I paint my soul,

A way to speak when words won’t come out.

Sometimes I’m unsure, of what to write about,

Yet the words flow, like a beautiful mess.

Like a river, that carries my thoughts within,

Expressing the words I've always wanted to begin.

So I let my pen dance, I let my heart sing,

I Embrace the power that my writing can bring.

In the realm of words, I find every time,

A voice that's mine, one of a kind.

A language that transcends, a journey without end.

It's a symphony of my emotions, a canvas to portray,

Where my words find their place, every single day.

In this world of words, I always find,

A sanctuary of expression, forever kind.
