Growing pains
Growing up with few growing pains,
where my fears were heights and broccoli and rain.
And my days filled with few tears, just laughter,
it is easy to find a happily ever after.
What about those who’ve struggled?
the ones who’ve been through more I could juggle.
Childhood trauma that would instill pain,
when recollecting memories from times they can’t rename.
The fortune I feel often makes me feel guilty,
of those who were robbed of their misfortune so early.
For those who hold a burden they must sustain,
their backs collapse from those growing pains.
