The rising dawn of our home British Columbia,

The proud inland jewel of the west coast.

Our province is rich in forestry and salmon fishing,

These are our many talents you see we are in honour to raise a toast.

Near the olive trees and scenic mountains in Alberta,

Where baby cows and goats roam around freely in the grassy place.

So many things to mention like growing oil and agriculture,

Don’t forget about the sunshine in Mother Earth’s embrace!

In the golden prairies of Saskatchewan,

Where yellow wheat and canola grow in the sun.

Dance with me in the red lily groves,

While we watch cocoa brown horses race and run.

The icy ledges of Manitoba,

Where stony inukshuks and polar bears lie.

Watch the Aurora Borealis,

Light up the starry night sky.

In the waterfall province of Ontario,

Visit a great historical monument.

If luck is in your way,

You might meet a leader from our government!

Say bonjour to Quebec,

Where you can meet many Francophone communities too.

Enjoy a yummy sweet treat like Beaver tails,

Save enough room in your tummy for Bouilli stew!

Newfoundland including New Brunswick

And Nova Scotia: here are the great we,

The three Atlantic provinces.

You’ll never forget us we are the Three Musketeers of the Sea!

There comes Prince Edward Island,

The land of special red soil.

Without this small province,

All our crops are left to spoil!

The Yukon; North West Territories,

And Nunavut shall surely make you tremble and freeze!

Take some pictures with the snowy wildlife,

Be sure to smile and say cheese!

Together we make our country Canada,

Independent - strong and free!

No matter our skin colour or race,

Like our national anthem says “We stand on guard for thee!”
