I Love You, But...
I saw him break.
The light in his eyes became dull, shimmering only from the tears that flooded within them.
"Yeah. that's fine." He replied, voice dead.
"I just don't think it's right." I explain. he didn't need to hear it. "can we still be friends?"
"I don't know. I don't think I could ever see you as just a friend."
"that's okay."
He walked away, his heart already building the walls.
My heart shattered.
"I love you" I thought, "but that does not mean I should have you."
