The thing that the flowers really teach us.
Think about the flowers
That we plant each year.
Sunflowers are wilting,
Curled and gorgeous.
Knowing that their petals
Are falling into the leafy grass
Day by day.
Roses still seem to thrive
Amidst the thorns they carry,
And the bleeding hearts they reap
Flows like the blood bath.
Those flowers teach us
That people must
Wilt,
Rise,
Fall,
Root,
Struggle
And somehow
Die away
In Order to blossom.
Yet no matter my struggles
I want to age like that
Never forgetting my own
Beauty in my own ways,
Never forgetting my past struggles
Never forgetting the message inbibed in my veins
And most of all,
Never forgetting how to say bloom.
