A dull flame, surrounded by the inevitable
darkness
fighting to thrive within the
hurtful hands that created me
promises whispered to me
to alight my soul
which will never be true
A bright, burning light that
paints my way with every action
Despite that man, despite my creator
i'm fierce
i'm strong
i'm alive, i'm roaring
my chest burns inside with feelings
that are nothing but normal
i'm a flame
bursting through the inevitable
ready for what's to come.
