Sleep
Sleep, oh sleep, sweet restful bliss
The world grows quiet as I lay to kiss
The darkness that envelops me whole
And take me away to a peaceful stroll
In dreams I wander to distant lands
Far from the worries that hold my hands
The cares of the day slowly fade
As I'm wrapped in the tranquility's shade
My mind unburdens itself of its weight
As the gentle rhythm of slumber it takes
The worries, the fears, the anxiousness depart
And leave behind a calm and serene heart
Oh sleep, how you heal and renew
And make me ready for a day anew
In your arms I find my solace and rest
And wake up with energy and zest
So let me close my eyes and drift away
To where the land of dreams will play
And when the dawn breaks with its light
I'll rise refreshed and ready to take flight.
