You’re not my dad
You’re not my dad.
You have no right to bring me comfort.
You will never understand what my real dad has done.
you’ll never get how comfortable you’ve made me feel. You’re not my dad. You’re my teacher. You’re not supposed to tell me it’s ok to cry that’s my dads job.
But if you’ve taken my dads job then what is he.
How is my dad ever meant to do his job if you’ve done it all for him. It’s not fair.
You’re not my dad but yet your the closet thing I’ve had to a father.
maybe there’s something to be said about the gentle demeanor you have. Maybe their something you saw in me. Maybe you see me as your son. Maybe I’m just another student. Ether way you’ve done my father job for him and im grateful It’s done.

I’m forever grateful for this teacher. He’s given me comfort and given me the confidence to go in with my life even if he’s not my dad. :)
