Beauty in the Rain
I see beauty in the rain.
I see no beauty in this end.
There's no beauty in the pain
But on the hard days I see beauty in the rain.
Stepping outside I'm soaked in a hurry,
But I don't mind getting wet so I don't have to worry
Washing away all that I feel
Just for a moment, nothing is real.
Close my eyes and feel the drops hit my face,
For even a minute I think the world can be a beautiful place.
Though sometimes life is downright wrong
The rain will sing her beautiful song.
Her rhythm true, pitter patter on the ground,
The rain will sing to you through this beautiful sound.
The rain sings stories, and performs them well,
Though some of them she'll never tell.
She'll swallow you whole and in that magical place
She'll cover you in her warm embrace.
Though at times the rain may seem a bit frightening,
It's just her friends, the thunder and lightning.
They may be loud, but they are proud, and love themselves for who they are.
Rain loves them and they love her,
The three of them are never far.
Rain will be with you no matter what,
She'll always be there when life gets tough.
Just put down the umbrella and enjoy it while you can
For one of these days it's bound to end.
There's beauty in rain and there's beauty in me,
Run through the torrent and just be free.
Don't be afraid to get a bit messy,
Don't be afraid to soak your dresses.
Go outside and embrace the flood,
Be alive and live with love.
