Synesthesia
When you tiptoe through the Valley of Happiness, you might find sadness hiding with the fear of coming out and showing itself to the world.
When you feel that fear, it feels overwhelming, like everyone’s eyes are on you, the heat of a fire in your cheeks.
And when you feel that sadness, it feels lonely, like nobody is to be found for miles around you.
When you feel lonely, it’s harder to toss that feeling in the trash and ignore it, like some dinner leftovers that you no longer want.
But, when you toss that sadness to the wind, it returns as relief and security, feeling like everything is going to be okay after letting go.
And when you let go of that sadness, the loneliness fades away, like the fog after the sun finally makes its appearance.
