a twizzler hanging from her mouth
knotted hair damp with ocean spray
and smelling of salt
grey eyes changing color with the sea
She chews on her candy
grabs my hand
writes my name and my secrets
with a stick in the sand

beware the girl's temper
nails made of sea glass
heart made of reeds
hears secrets in sea shells
to blow on the wind
