"I was born very far from where I'm supposed to be. So, I guess I'm on my way home."

I will have a full life
I will survive long enough
to have that and
no matter how many times
the little red lines
say I have some little red virus
living in my lungs or how many
little red bottles of pills
I think about sliding down my
little red throat or
how many times I want to take
that little red razor and
steal its blades to make
little red lines of blood across
my skin, I will make
myself survive long enough
to be able to say
when I finally lie down
in that little red field of flowers
and my lips take their last
little red breath
I will say I lived a full life
I will not be a little red tragedy
I will let no wolf swallow me
Because I am not
little red riding hood
I'm just a kid
trying to be a grown up

My little red eyes
are raw from crying
but I will survive long enough
I deserve that at least
