I had gone astray
visible, but somehow,
seen and unnoticed
but you, you found me on the ground
made me believe, made me love
made me believe in love
awake and yet so unaware
I lived off of secondhand joy
blind, but still following
shaken, but still waiting
and hanging onto every word you didn’t say
even though the queen is the strongest piece
I still felt like a pawn in the game
broken, bruised, and blessed
and then I was forgotten and left behind
back to square one
and here I still am
right here, exactly where you left me
lost and found
now lost for good
