In the house, I sit alone,
Listening to my thoughts.
The rain is pelting in my mind,
While memories come like a hurricane.
Of the good and the bad,
The blessed and gruesome,
And I can't seen to escape them.

In the house, I look outside,
Out at the pouring rain.
Where animals are dying,
And wombs are bursting.
I wonder about my idleness.

How can I, I think,
Sit still in my bed,
While I'm lost in my head,
Stuck to the guilt of past mistakes.

In the house, I sit alone,
Listening to my bloody thoughts.
