alone

as i push the door open
what i assume to be
guilt
weighs down upon my shoulders
a tenfold more
times
i tell myself
that this won’t happen
again
i hear that noise
a drip, a drip, drip
that won’t leave me
alone
is what she is
on the floor, limp, naked, and cold. a
bottle of whisky and a bottle of pills both
empty
is what my soul is
is what my heart is
is what her eyes are
