I play for the empty room

Filling its deep silence

Plucking strings in a whisper

The notes glide in distortion

My raspy voice barely audible

Quick breaks to inhale the

Sickly sweet of metal raspberry watermelon

And the ghastly clouds that slip through my lips

The back of my throat is cold with

The remnants of chemical

Fingers fly along the neck

The ghosts gather round

Play to forget them

The translucent figures encompass me

Louder louder

The nauseating saccharinity

My head filling with dense air

A heaviness consumes me

Overcome by nothing and everything at once

I resign myself to the stars
