A story has as many versions as it has readers - Winter Of Our Discontent

You made me loose it

I couldn't take it

I stared at the highway

Wrapped in a blanket

It covered my eyes

Why wasn't I surprised

When you didn't help

Or even cared if I cried

How could you not see

My pure misery

That I clutched in my hands

For eternity

Maybe I should have

Just let you go

Like a terrible dream

That you’ll never know

The author's comments:

This is a poem that I wrote to express my frustration towards a certain situation in my life. It's about feeling isolated and not being heard.

I hope this poem can help anyone who may feel the same. Enjoy your day.
