The Restriction of Love
Love is what I strive for,
But it is what I cannot have,
For society’s looks
And threats
And torture
Tear us away from each other
And we hide ourselves.
And yet,
I stay with her.
Her touch,
Her kiss,
Her effortless beauty,
Her unceasing kindness,
Are all addictive,
Impossible to let go of.
I love her,
But I cannot have her,
And she cannot have me,
And still,
Her love is what I will die for
I wrote this piece for school and I loved it, so I decided to submit it here.
