Like anxious horses,
Prancing at the gate,
Our hearts stop,
As the silence stays.
Boom!
The gun fires,
The people roar,
As we charge out.
Our legs tire,
But we keep going,
Till we cross,
The black and white mark.
It’s in our blood,
To await.
The thrill of the race.
